Rockstar may have finally given PlayStation players an early idea of what to expect from the GTA 6 FPS performance. GTA 6 is currently targeting 30FPS on consoles, according to comments reportedly made by Rockstar developer Rob Nelson.
The studio has not confirmed whether a 60FPS Performance Mode will be available at launch or later. That means PS5 players may need to settle for 30FPS when the game arrives.
PS5 Pro Could Face the Same Limitation

The PS5 Pro has a stronger GPU than the standard PS5, but its CPU upgrade is more limited. That could make a 60FPS mode difficult if GTA 6’s massive world puts heavy demands on the processor.
Rockstar could still improve performance before launch. For now, though, 30FPS remains the current target. GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
