Metro 2039 is heading to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on February 4, 2027. Players can choose from several editions, including a physical Collector’s Edition packed with exclusive merchandise.
The upcoming first-person shooter returns to post-apocalyptic Moscow, where survivors struggle to survive beneath the ruined city. Here’s what each edition includes and which pre-order bonuses players can expect.
Metro 2039 Standard Edition
The Standard Edition costs $69.99 across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It includes the base game and the Specialist Pack pre-order bonus.
In addition, players who prefer digital purchases can find the edition through the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
Metro 2039 Deluxe Edition
The physical Deluxe Edition costs $109.99 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S and it includes:
- Base game
- Exclusive Steelbook case
- Hardcover art book.
- Digital art book
- Story expansion DLC
- Official digital soundtrack
The Specialist Pack will also be included in the pre-orders of this edition.
Digital Deluxe Edition
The Digital Deluxe Edition costs $99.99 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, however PC players can purchase it for $89.99 through Steam or Epic Games Store.
This version includes everything in the physical deluxe edition however the Exclusive Steelbook case and hardcover art book will not be available. It also comes with the Specialist Pack when pre-ordered.
Pre-Order Bonus
When pre-ordering any edition of Metro 2039, players will unlock the Specialist Pack. It contains three backpack upgrade blueprints designed for different playstyles.
The Equipment Specialist Pouch helps players craft advanced weapons and equipment more quickly. The Chemtech Specialist Pouch provides additional gas mask filters, while the Munitions Specialist Pouch focuses on finding rarer, more powerful ammunition.
What Is Metro 2039 About?
Metro 2039 takes place 26 years after the nuclear apocalypse devastated the world. As a result, Moscow’s survivors have spent decades underground, seeking protection from radiation and the dangers above.
The Metro tunnels are now united under Hunter, a fanatical Spartan leader who rules through propaganda and fear. Meanwhile, players control the Stranger, a recluse who must reenter the dangerous underground network.
The adventure combines stealth, gunfights against rival survivors, and encounters with irradiated monsters. Players can expect another tense journey through the dangerous world established by the previous Metro games.
The game launches on February 4, 2027, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
