CD Projekt Red has shocked fans with a new version of their blockbuster game. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered arrives on PS5 on September 29, 2026.

More Than a Simple PS5 Upgrade

This isn’t another basic next-generation upgrade for Geralt’s adventure. The Remastered edition brings major improvements across the entire experience. Graphics have been overhauled for modern PS5 hardware.

Combat is also being improved to make fights feel more refined. Enemy behaviour is receiving upgrades alongside character movement and traversal.

The progression system will also receive changes. These improvements should make the classic RPG feel much more modern.

Existing The Witcher 3 Owners Get the Upgrade for Free

The best news is the price for existing players where anyone who already owns The Witcher 3 can upgrade for free. Players won’t need to purchase the game again. The upgrade will become available when the Remastered edition launches.

The game first launched more than a decade ago and it remains one of the most celebrated RPGs in gaming history.

Now, CD Projekt Red is giving the adventure another major makeover.

Existing PS5 players can return to Geralt’s world on September 29 at no extra cost to experience the new improvements.
