A new Uncharted game featuring Nathan Drake is reportedly in development at Naughty Dog. The project is said to be one of several titles currently being worked on by the studio.
According to a report from MP1st, the game is not a remake and is already in active development. However, Nathan Drake’s exact role in the new adventure remains unclear.
Nathan Drake Could Return

The report claims Nathan Drake will appear in the next Uncharted game in some capacity. It is currently unknown whether he will be the main protagonist, supporting character, or cameo.
The project is reportedly being led by Shaun Escayg, who previously directed Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Escayg has also fueled speculation through recent social media activity.
Escayg reportedly visited Trinidad earlier this year for research. He later shared an image featuring an old cannon, which fans connected to the Uncharted franchise.
According to the report, the new Uncharted game would follow Intergalactic as Naughty Dog’s next major project. Naughty Dog has confirmed that its sci-fi title will receive a proper showcase in 2027.
Uncharted 4 appeared to conclude Nathan’s story, but the character remained alive at the end. That leaves room for Naughty Dog to continue his adventures.
Nathan’s daughter Cassie could also play an important role in a future game. She has already shown an interest in the same adventures and hobbies as her father.
The New Uncharted Game May Still Be Years Away
Sources expect the project to release several years from now. Naughty Dog is also believed to have multiple The Last of Us projects in development.
Naughty Dog has yet to officially confirm any of the reported Uncharted details. Fans will therefore need to wait for the studio to reveal its next adventure.
