Last week’s gaming showcases delivered an overwhelming number of announcements, trailers, and surprises. Between State of Play, Summer Game Fest, and the Xbox Games Showcase, PlayStation players were given plenty of reasons to be excited about the future.

Alien: Isolation 2

Final Fantasy VII Revelation

Square Enix finally lifted the curtain on the next chapter of its remake trilogy. Final Fantasy VII Revelation promises expanded exploration, new gameplay systems, and what looks to be the most ambitious entry in the series so far.

Gen Atlas

Created by the legendary Fumito Ueda, Gen Atlas immediately captured attention with its mysterious world and towering mechanical creatures. Details remain scarce, but the atmosphere alone has made it one of the most intriguing reveals of the year.

God of War: Laufey

Santa Monica Studio surprised fans with a new perspective on the God of War universe. Focusing on Faye’s story and the aftermath of the Norse saga, Laufey looks set to explore an entirely different side of the franchise.

Gundam Rogue Orbit

After years of waiting, Gundam Rogue Orbit fans finally have a major new game to look forward to. Rogue Orbit promises large-scale mech battles and an original story that could make it one of the franchise’s biggest releases in years.
