Halo on PlayStation still feels strange to say, but it’s quickly becoming a reality. Halo: Campaign Evolved is launching on PS5 later this year, and a newly released gameplay trailer gives fans their best look yet at how the remake is shaping up on Sony’s hardware.
The latest footage was captured on PS5 Pro and showcases a mix of gameplay and cinematic scenes from the remake. From improved visuals to the iconic Halo soundtrack, the trailer delivers a nostalgic look at Master Chief’s return while highlighting the upgrades made for modern hardware.
Halo: Campaign Evolved is a complete remake of the original Halo: Combat Evolved campaign. Unlike the classic release, this version focuses entirely on the story experience and does not include multiplayer. Players will, however, be able to tackle the campaign in co-op and experience several brand-new missions set before the events of the original game.
Halo Studios has also confirmed that the PS5 version will take advantage of DualSense features, while PS5 Pro owners can expect additional visual enhancements. The developer says bringing Halo to PlayStation is part of a wider effort to grow the franchise and introduce Master Chief to a new audience.
The remake is scheduled to launch on July 28, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. For many PlayStation players, it will be the first opportunity to experience one of gaming’s most iconic franchises on a PlayStation console.
